Dr. Rajesh A Shastri, born on 27th August 1973, did his B. Pharm, in 1998, from V.L. College of Pharmacy, Raichur, Gulburga University, Gulburga, Karnataka, India, M. Pharm. in Pharmacognosy from K.L.E.S’s College of Pharmacy, Hubli, Rajiv Gandhi University, Bengaluru, Karnataka in 2002, and Ph.D. in 2009, from Kuvempu University, Shimoga. He began his teaching career as Lecturer in 1998- 2000 at SET’s College of Pharmacy, Dharwad and 2002 to till date.Presently working as Asso.Professor in Department of Pharmacognosy and phytochemistry. He has published about 45 research papers, presented about 25 research papers in national and international conferences both in India and abroad. He has 1 book chapter to his credit. He has received funding for his major and minor research projects worth 12 lacs from AICTE, New Delhi and RGUHS Bengaluru. He also received funding from DST , New Delhi to present the research paper in international conference at Bankok, Thailand in 2011. Received best E-Poster award at National conference “Recent trends in phytochemistry” held at JSS college of pharmacy, mysuru.He has guided 26 M. Pharm students, and guiding 02 for their doctoral thesis.He is a reviewer for many national and international journals. Presently working as Reviewer, RGUHS Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. As a teacher and researcher Dr Rajesh shastri is innovative and committed in academic and research. He is taking keen interest in training postgraduate students on various areas of medicinal and aromatic plants. His areas of expertise include Phytochemical investigation and pharmacological screening of natural products for various biological activities.
