Dr. ChannabasappaS. Hallikeri, born on 22ndJuly1972, did his B. Pharm, in 1998, fromS.E.T’sCollegeofPharmacy,Dharwad,KarnatakaUniversity,Dharwad,Karnataka,India, M.Pharm.inPharmaceutical chemistryfromK.L.E.S’sCollegeofPharmacy,Belgaum,Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore,Karnataka in 1998,and Ph.D. in 2016, from PRIST University, Vallam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. He began his teaching career as Lecturer in 1999- 2010 at K.L.E’sCollege of Pharmacy, Gadag. Dr. Hallikeri has published about 30 research papers, presented about 15 research papers in national and international conferences both in India and abroad. He has co-authored 1 book chapter. He has received travel grant of Rs 7000/- from R.G.U.H.S to present research paper DUPHAT-2012 held in Dubai. Dr Hallikeri received research grant ofRs-3.50.000/- from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bangalore, under the scheme Grant in Aid for advanced research projects for the year 2019-20 entitled “Synthesis, Molecular docking studies of novel pyrrole containing heterocyclic compounds as anticonvulsant agents”. He has guided 24 M. Pharm students and guiding 1 Ph D studentfor their doctoral thesis. He is a life member for APTI. As a teacher and researcher Dr Channabasappa Hallikeri is committed and Hard working. He is taking enormous interest in training undergraduate and postgraduate students on various areas of Pharmaceutical chemistry, using advanced methods of synthesis, extraction, isolationand techniques. His areas of expertise include synthesis and characterization of novel bioactive molecules, Extraction, purification and isolation of bioactive molecules from natural sources.
